Beach Sandies by OPI

The theme of the Spring / Summer 2014 OPI collection is Brazil. The collection features 12 full size polishes and 4 liquid sand shades (which only come in the mini version, sold as a gift set), this was my first purchase from this collection.

Here is my review of the Beach Sandies mini collection.

The colour that I couldn't wait to try out is "I'm Brazil nuts over you", it is described by OPI as a matte pink but I think it is more of a coral, even a red.

It's very pretty but it does not have the same sparkle that the more recent liquid sand shades have.

I have yet to try out the other colours in the set, other than a very quick swatch, below.

"What's a little rain forest" is a lovely bright blue, but I prefer two of the other blue liquid sand polishes that I own, "Tiffany Case" and "kiss me at midnight" on the basis that they have more sparkle.

"You're so Flippy Floppy" is the first yellow polish I have ever owned. This is really bright, it reminds me of melted butter (when the butter turns to a liquid). I won't be wearing this until I have a sun tan and I am feeling brave (it is rare for me to say that about a polish). There is something about yellow nail polish that makes me feel uncomfortable.

"Samba-dy loves purple" is a bright vivid pink based purple, I'm looking forward to wearing this one. There is not much to say about it but nothing not to like about it.

This is a nice little set for your collection. Due to the bright colours and the dinky little bottles, it is perfect for travelling with (if you like to change your nail colour while on holiday).

Thank you for reading x
